I got dragged off to some outpost or something. I never really know what's going on, they just hand me some rum and tell me to play with wood and that I'll get to stab something. I like stabbing things as much as Tikao likes running into the rocks. By the way, they're not soft.

Greenie Forever

Today something phenomenal happened. Captainflood spoke my name with importance (capitalized it) when he greeted me. I’ve gotten onto him many times in the past but I guess I’ve always been just another greenie in his eyes until now.


Falbard became governor of Windward Vale and promises lots of corruption, as any fitting pirate governor should.

Arachne of Viridian:

I told everyone in flag officer chat that I was off my meds and couldn’t pillage with them. Bayne got a little concerned, so I had to explain to him that I’m not really crazy, I only act crazy. Most the rest of the flag knows by now not to take ninety percent of what I say seriously. Tik walked in on that conversation and ruined my reputation further by saying I’m just misunderstood. Thanks a lot, Tik.


Then Tik told us all to get on a sloop for a pillage. As soon as I stepped on deck a little pigeon carried a message over to me from Falbard that wanted to know if I could XO for him. I had to decline since I was already loading for a pillage. I may be a pirate, but I try not to go back on my word once it’s given. Though to protect my reputation, I tell everyone I’m first come first serve, sounds less honorable.


Icey was there with us all when Corn fell asleep on deck. We all tried to wake up him, except for Icey who felt sorry for him. She must not know him very well. When he woke up I told him Icey had been doing it all and we tried to stop her.



While underway Tik booched naving. We all saw it, and just in case anyone missed it, I’m telling you about it now.


Captainflood and Falbard both ended up joining us before the voyage was over, but Flood admits he wasn’t paying any attention to what he was doing. At one point I told Fal I was tired of the voyage and ready to XO for him, but he said that ship didn’t sail already.


Despite all the craziness Icey stayed with us the whole time. What a weirdo.


Randomness of the day

Distractions

New things happening on the ocean.


I went on a pillage with the Bootleg Bandits. Falbard wanted to know if I wanted to go swimming, but I had to decline. I was busy sailing at the time. Someone should try to talk to him about distracting the jobbers with offers of fun activities. I’d never distract anyone.


Rohanl saw me go down in a sword fight, but I don’t like admitting I ever go down, so I keep swinging my sword from where I lay on the deck, which is normally in a pool of my blood. He seemed to like that, never really thought of it as a fighting spirit before, but it is true that I never give up. Even if I’m against 20 I keep fighting like I think I can win.


Along the way Diamond pointed out that we were lost and in need of a map. She should have known that Rohanl wouldn’t pull over and ask for directions. Men never ask.



Every time we grappled a ship I suggested he ask them where we are or how to get where we are going. He ended up trying to blame me, but I’m not the one that got us lost. He was driving.




Then he wanted us to let hell loose. If I did that I’d have to rekill everyone I’ve put there. And though that might be fun, it’d set me back a little. There’s still plenty of other people to gut.




After porting I decided it was time for a Love Shower, so I gave one. Funny how that works. Though there have been times I felt like a Love Shower and was unable to give one, like when I’m on duty in the middle of a voyage. However I missed Rhoaleper’s request in regards to Castor and he was the last to receive coin. I start with the flag, then do my hearties, then I get the OM on duty.

Sinking

Kehle of Viridian:

My crew, Bootleg Bandits, were loading up a ship to take into a flotilla. Everyone was happy to see me.


I ran around hugging everyone I knew for no other reason than I felt like it.



While I was waiting for the ship to load up, I decided to finish writing in my log. A little greenie shouted and was told not to, so I politely suggested a flogging may be in order. Apparently Falbard is too nice to flog people however. I’d do it for him if he’d want me to.



The same little greenie ran into trouble again when he wagered in a challenge against another pirate who did not wager back. He insisted she spammed him, but apparently she’d made no agreement to put in a wager and therefore did not do anything wrong. The greenie reported her anyway.


We sank.


So then Fal calls us on a little sloop and we went back in to treasure haul a ship we’d sank previous. We sank in the sloop too. But I did get a new trophy, so that’s good for me anyway. And we had fun trying.







Later in the evening Bleachfloody was loading up for the flotilla again with Bootleg Bandits. They asked us to ask our hearties but my only hearty is Tikao and even though I knew she was already there I said she wouldn’t come. Yvonnie didn’t realize I was just being funny however. Everyone else knows me well enough to not take me seriously.


The little greenie that had tried to heart Arachne the night before was on the ship and she didn’t talk like a greenie so I accused her of being an alt, but she wouldn’t tell me of who. But then she booched so often, was so annoying, and yelled to be planked when she was done that I decided she might really be a greenie after all and I was glad I didn’t hearty her.


We sank again.



Arachne of Viridian:

I followed Tikao into one of her stalls, but she was really quiet. We sat around talking about what cowards men are. Oh sure they try to pretend to be strong, but they’d rather run or make excuses than be honest most the time.


Lassie dunked in and then out again before I could greet her. I didn’t think I looked that bad though.

Confused Corn

I went to Tikao’s stall to see if she was working and maybe do a little work myself, even though I can’t make rum. I’m so bad at distilling, that all I can make is grog flavored water. A greenie came in while we were there and the greenie seemed nice enough, greeted us and everything, but when she sent the hearty request I denied it. I liked to be asked first to ensure I’m not just adding a name to my list but an actual hearty. I’m not into name collecting.


Something that is fun to do is carry on several conversations at once. It’s guaranteed to confuse at least one of your mates.
